Accuserver Professional LAN Package is a perfect Business Management System for small-to-medium businesses with the existing network and computers. The business can have Local Access Network installed in their office, or the network (LAN) can be build based on Accuserver®. The network can be wireless or wired, PC, Mac or Linux based. There is only one condition for the network - it should support the TCP/IP network protocol.

Accuserver® - Professional LAN Package is ready to build your LAN with few very easy steps. You will receive a Server Tower with pre-configured Wireless Access Point/Gateway/Router, and all you need is to add wireless network cards to your existing computers and set them up to recognize the main Access Point. The rest of the process will be plug-n-play. The server, router and all the main LAN setups are pre-configured exactly for your office and tested for 72 hours in our facility before they are shipped to you. The package has all the main modules of the Accuserver® Management System and the same functionality as the Enterprise package. Many small-to-medium businesses do not need the extended features of the Enterprise package and Professional LAN Package is perfectly suitable for their needs.

If your office is located in the states of NY, NJ, CT or PA we can deliver it to your door and setup the whole LAN for you (additional fee applies).


THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE PROFESSIONAL LAN AND ENTERPRISE PACKAGES:

• You have to have your LAN in the office, or you will have to build your LAN by yourself or with professional help.
• If you want to build a wireless network, you need to buy and install wireless LAN cards for each computer in your office.
• Professional LAN Package has Intel® Pentium 4 540 (HT) 3.2GHz processor, 2 (two) 120 GB hard disks, and 16x Dual Layer (8.4GB) DVD-RW drive for backups and archiving.
• The system makes incremental backups every 15 minutes, and for daily backups Accuserver® has an external 120GB hard drive. For monthly archives you can also use the Dual Layer (8.4 GB) DVD-RW drive.
• If you want to build a regular wired network you need to buy and install 10/100 Ethernet network cards in every workstation in your office. Also, you need to buy CAT5 network cables to connect workstations to the main router.
• Your Accuserver® Tower and Wireless Access Point will be under our warranty, but for LAN troubleshooting you will have to outsource to some professional service.
• Unlike the Enterprise Package, Professional LAN Package does not have an embedded automatic Timeclock, so the working hours of your employees would have to be entered manually.
• You can access your server from outside the office via the Internet.
• Professional LAN Package has 5 (five) user licenses. We have our specific licensing policy: you will get five simultaneous connections rather than five licenses that belong to the specific workstations. In other words, in your office(s) you can have as many workstations as you want, but only five workstations can be connected to Accuserver® Management System at the same time.

Although Professional LAN Package has only 5 licenses, this is not a problem for the future of your business, because you can always upgrade your system to the Enterprise packages or buy additional licenses.
